Heaven Can Wait…

Heaven Can Wait…
by Amir H.

Could you lay with me, underneath these twinkling sea stars,
I’m an adult that still needs a night light in the dark.
No need to conversate with me—
I just want to hold and be held,
if that’s not plain to see.

To just fall asleep in your presence,
where silence speaks in waves,
and your breath calms the chaos.

No need for answers,
no need for words—
just the hush of heartbeats
syncing like moonlight and tide.

Let me rest in the sacred between,
where your nearness makes time irrelevant.
Where our scars don’t hide, but shimmer.
A love not loud, but luminous—
not loud, but known.

God is good, God is great,
I pray to the Lord my soul to take.
And if I shall die before I wake,
I pray Heaven waits.
